John Denver, a singer-songwriter of Colorado that specialized in folk-pop music inspired millions of people. Denver's national anthems to his adopted state has drawn a lot of people to Colorado. G. Denver is today the face of Colorado on the world stage. Take Me Home Country Roads was one of Denver's top 10 singles after he performed with smaller folk groups. It was co-written by and produced by Bill Danoff. Danoff wrote the track for Johnny Cash but Denver recognized the potential of the single after hearing it first. The song was recorded by the singer only a few days afterward when he performed it in front of the awe-inspiring crowd at Washington D.C.
